About Me
For most of the 90’s I was touring and recording with a variety of Pop, Jazz and Soul artists. Influenced by Jimmy Page, Bill Nelson, Jimi Hendrix, Peter Green, George Benson, Pat Metheny, Al Di Meola, John McLaughlin, Allan Holdsworth, John Scofield, Todd Rundgren and a plethora of other great musicians (as well as the Indian music of my childhood home!), I remain an enthusiastic and somewhat obsessive lover of music in all it’s form be it Classical, Jazz, Blues or World Music
I was a regular contributor to the prestigious magazine “Guitarist” including presenting video lessons and accompanying transcriptions with Fusion giants Al Di Meola and Mike Stern for “Guitar Techniques”. I have written two songs for the renowned Rockschool curriculum, and have presented video lessons on Rockschool grade pieces for “Total Guitar “ magazine, which was the best selling guitar instruction magazine in Europe. You’ll find some examples of my articles on the Articles page, including my first cover story – an interview with the great Steve Lukather of Toto. This is a link to it.

In 2005 I founded The Berakah Project, a multi-faith ensemble featuring musicians from Jewish, Christian and Muslim backgrounds. Using music to spread a message of peace and unity the band has been hailed as an innovative and timely reminder of the power of music to reach people’s hearts. In March 2009 we played a sold out concert at London’s Purcell Rooms and The Times described it as “music to make you close your eyes and dance in your head”. Our debut album “Music for the Heart” was described in Metro as “instantly hummable”.
More recently I played on Ginger Baker’s last album which was recorded with an all start cast at Abbey Road and, continuing the Cream connection, I wrote two songs for the last album by the great poet and Cream lyricist Peter Brown. You’ll find clips of me in both settings on Youtube.
I’m currently playing with a great Jazz/Fusion/Funk band called Word of Mouth and we play every other Tuesday at The Temple of Art and Music in London’s Elephant and Castle. Come along and say hi!
